Walking in the Light: Shining His Light on Mental Health

Download the full studies here.

This series of five studies youth ministries can talk about how God is able to work in and through us, even in times where we struggle with our mental health. This is particularly important after a year which was stressful for almost everyone. The darkness of this world and in our minds is no match for our REAL, PRESENT God! Jesus is the ONE and ONLY source of eternal light.

Sessions Include:

Lesson 1 – Walking in Darkness

This session compares the darkness that can fill our minds with the light that God provides for us in Jesus.

Lesson 2 – Walking in the Light of His Love

This session looks at what Jesus did for us on the cross because of His love, not because we deserved it.

Lesson 3 – Walking in the Light of His Promises

This session examines God’s promises to us that we can count on despite the circumstances.

Lesson 4 – Walking in the Light of His Spirit

This session looks at how the Holy Spirit can help us to focus our thoughts on Christ despite the dark thoughts of fear, anxiety and depression.

Lesson 5 – Walking in His Light…Together

This session encourages us to learn to help care and support others through difficult times.
